We realize that coming into an unfamiliar environment, no matter how big or small, can be scary and intimidating. If you’re new, we’d love to connect with you even before you show up on the weekend. Whether you’re a 6th grader or an 8th grader, there is a team of adult leaders who’d love to meet you and make you feel welcome! OUR MISSION

The Simple Church | Real. Simple. Church.  Designated by the simplicity even in our name, The Simple Church exists for those of us who are tired of religion getting in the way of knowing who God is. We exist to make a place for all walks of life to come together for support, relationships, help, and most importantly, to answer questions about a God who loves us. We have a very simple philosophy, love God and love people. We do not judge here. We “simply” say, come as you are. No more red tape to get to God. It’s simple here, because that is who we are…

We base our programming on the foundation of a common faith in Jesus Christ, teaching 7 principles that are fundamental to the MSM.tv

  • Authentic Faith- Focuses on a correct understanding of faith. True faith is confidence that God is who he says He is -- Confidence that He will do everything He has promised to do.

  • Spiritual Discipline - Focuses on developing a healthy devotional life.

  • Moral Boundaries -  Focuses on teaching teenagers to establish clear moral limits

  • Healthy Friendships -  Focuses on helping students build healthy friendships while avoiding unhealthy ones.

  • Wise Choices -  Focuses on the necessity of applying godly wisdom to the choices we make.

  • Ultimate Authority - Focuses on our need to recognize God's ultimate authority and respect the earthly authorities He has placed over us.

  • Others First - Focuses on the true nature of humility and service.

WHAT THE SIMPLE CHURCH IS ALL ABOUT:

 We are all about loving God & loving people. We're imperfect people striving to become more Christ-like, not just on Sundays, but in the way we live our lives every day. We feel like God has positioned us to reach the unchurched & the dechurched in the Shreveport-Bossier area.

HOW THE SIMPLE CHURCH GOT STARTED: 

The Simple Church began after dreaming for 15 years of what church could and should be like! We felt God leading us to risk it and finally DO something in late 2006. With the blessing of our previous church and pastor, the SC launched with a group of 80 people. On June 10, 2007, we had our first preview service at the Boardwalk Regal Theater with 222 people attending. We had two more preview services over the summer and began meeting weekly on September 16, 2007. The Simple Church has grown from 80 people to nearly 4,000 people every Sunday. 

OUR STRATEGY

Love God and Love People Jesus replied, " 'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the other commandments and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments." Matthew 22: 37-40

Whether you have a one-time need or are looking for ongoing counseling, Simple Church is here to help. We always have a Pastor-On-Call available to advise and listen. Simple Church is a "Come as you are" kind of church. You'll find a warm, casual and welcoming environment where an array of dress styles can be found. We want you to feel comfortable in whatever you choose to wear.
